7 Quiet Acts

We have recently  been participating in an ongoing public/private live art exhibition located in Mile End, east London. The show consists of seven consecutive weekends of artists running live art/performance/installation/head scratching extravaganzas whereby guests are welcomed into a council flat scheduled for demolition to experience what is the brainchild of residing artist, Tanya Cottingham. Each week a new artist or collective is invited into the flat to create a site specific piece which is then opened to the public on every Saturday until the 27th of November. I had the opportunity to participate during Act 2 – Hysteria on the 23rd of October whilst Dre photographed the show. Dre has also been busy preparing a video piece which will show in Act 5 on November 13th. For more info and to book a spot on the guest list, visit 7 Quiet Acts of Domestic Violence. To see more of the lovely images that Dre captured, and also more from  other acts thus far, look here. You can also view Tanya Cottingham’s own website, designed by yours truly, at Polishing The Earth.
